Catch Up Day + Surprise

Following last week’s loading of the Ukraine shipping container, today was a day of catch up.

SVP Pads

However, on my way to the warehouse to drop off a van load of mobility aids and pads, I stopped by the SVP charity shop where I was delighted to spot a load of extra Tena pads. Pads are the number one requested item, so I was very thankful to the staff who gave me a great price on the pads to boost our stock to send to Ukraine.

After squeezing all the pads in the van, I went to the warehouse. I unloaded the van of all the mobility aids, pads, medical equipment and cardboard boxes I had gathered. The pads I bought from SVP, when added to the pads I had already gathered, filled a cage full of pads, which is great!

Shout out to Warmflow, Lisburn, who gave us a load of their surplus cardboard boxes! (https://www.warmflow.co.uk/). We’re always in need of large, strong boxes for shipping medical consumables!

After doing some organising in the warehouse and checking the seal on the Ukraine container, I headed back home. It was great to clear out space in my garage, giving me room to repair some of the wheelchairs and rollators I have stored.

I hope to go to the warehouse again this week to do some more organising, and getting it ready to receive more medical equipment for the next container!
