The big day finally arrived!
After months of collecting, sorting, and preparing, the big day finally came – the day we loaded our shipping container bound for Ukraine!
Our warehouse was absolutely crammed with essential medical equipment, mobility aids, and consumables. A real testament to the generosity of everyone who donated and the tireless effort of our volunteers.
We had an amazing team of industrious Ukrainian volunteers who, following a short time of prayer, carefully packed every inch of the container to ensure no space was wasted. From checking boxes were fully packed, to operating forklifts and filling every space on the container, I was really encouraged to see such teamwork and coordination.
For some of our volunteers, it’s been a relentless week. They’ve worked long hours sorting, labelling, and preparing items so they could be sent safely and efficiently. Their commitment has been deeply inspiring.
Once the container is collected on Tuesday, it will begin its journey to our partner organisation in Latvia, who will oversee the onward distribution to hospitals and clinics across Ukraine, places where these supplies will make a real difference to those in need.
