About Us

Hi! I am Melissa

Who are we?

We’re a team of ordinary people, working to bring extraordinary hope.

We are a group of volunteers from various charities, organisations and backgrounds, who work together to rescue surplus medical and mobility equipment from across Northern Ireland.

We get vital aid into the hands of those who need it most, from war zones to missionary hospitals, from those forgotten to those on the frontlines.

Hi! I am Melissa

How It All Began

It started with a simple question: Why are so many usable medical supplies going to waste?

We saw lorry loads worth of unused consumables being binned and fit for purpose equipment being sent to landfill when it got replaced with the latest kit.

At the same time, we were burdened with heart breaking stories from Africa, Asia and Ukraine of people suffering, waiting, and praying for the very items we were throwing away.

And so, what began as a small idea quickly became a mission: to rescue surplus equipment and send it wherever it can be a blessing.

What We Do

We collect, sort, and send surplus medical equipment, mobility and living aids, and all types of medical consumables (except pharmaceuticals) to places in need.

We:

  1. Rescue usable items from homes, hospitals and care facilities
  2. Organise and store items in our dedicated storage facilities
  3. Send them to trusted partners around the world
  4. Continually verify that items are received by those in need for maximum transparency and accountability
  5. Pray over the work and recipients, and trust God to do more than we can see

Hi! I am Melissa

Why We Do It

We believe God calls His people to care for both the spiritual and physical needs of others.

Jesus not only saves – He heals. Jesus cared not just for people’s spiritual needs, but their physical needs as well. He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and touched the untouchable. Following His example, we want to serve others with what we have, giving practical help that reflects the love of Christ.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink... I was sick and you looked after me... Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:35–36, 40

“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
